Lake McQueeney

Lake McQueeney, was originally called Lake Abbott.  It is a dammed portion of the Guadalupe River and is the self-proclaimed” Water Ski Capital of Texas”.  Being home to the Lake Breeze Ski Lodge and Lake McQueeney Ski Bees makes Lake McQueeney one of the most sought after lakes with homes for sale in all of south central Texas. McQueeney is ideally located  between New Braunfels and Seguin in Guadalupe County, Texas.

Lake McQueeney is Below Lake Dunlap and above Lake Placid, controlled and managed by the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority (GBRA).  GBRA oversees the Gadalupe River lakes. Canyon Lake is the exception, it is controlled by the Army Corps of Engineers.  The “main lake” has a surface area of 400 acres with a storage capacity of 5,050 acre-feet.  Lake McQueeney is approximately 7 miles in length.  Lake McQueeney homes  have a wide range of prices but due to demand they are usually higher than homes on other Guadalupe River lakes.
